liquid jewels

There’s a black hole in between us
And there’s no escaping from it
The gap between the me and the I proves itself
To be incalculable by Professor Hawking
To be indefinable by definition
The ice belt of gravity
The wilderness of disparity
Has more rarely been traversed
Stuck like a stick in the mud of the earth
Spinning like a doctor in the back of a hearse
We won we won we won the retribution dodo prize
Of a shiny little car called life (brum brum)
But we can’t throw it in reverse and dodge
The encroaching maw of nature red
In tooth and claw like Crawford and magraw
The sea is big but not forever
Baby I hear there’s a beach on mars
You can reach them stars
Have a flat in hampstead
Get a brassnobs bedstead
Have a wet ski jetlag
Use your hat for a shopping bag
You’re gonna still be the same
Nothing’s gonna change like a cockroach stands stock still
On the clock of evolution for a million years
Waiting for a nuclear war to survive
So that they can wipe the floor with you and I
Those are liquid jewels that were jim morrison's eyes
Being swiped at the checkout
By those insect masters we aspire to devolve into
And ultimately despise their reign
As they wipe the floor with our torpid holey remains.
