Waiting

The time between wanting desire runs down
Absolute limbo the death of a clown
Emotional cancer creeping in crystals
Is malady's answer
She’s buried in pustules
Of gangrenous canker

Waiting for phone calls waiting for bliss
Waiting for new balls for kicks for a kiss
Waiting for heroes for champions for ever
Waiting like moonbeams for a break in the weather

Waiting in Waitrose waiting in vain
Waiting and wanting to wash the disdain
Waiting on meantime enharboured in glass
Waiting for teatime for the end of the class

Waiting at check outs at bus stops the docs
Waiting in prison for top of the pops
Waiting for letters for Jesus for answers
Waiting for wages like cripples and dancers

Waiting for sod all for nothing for nowt
Waiting for Rambo to bail us all out
Waiting for heroes for champions for ever
Waiting like moonbeams for a break in the weather

Treason seduction infamy’s glamour
The pinpoint destruction of yesterday’s clangor
Consequence is the servant of lethargy
Some may call it karma
All we are is energy
And violence is our father

The time between wanting
Is hunger’s fresh field
We’re carting in circles
With nothing to yield
If we don’t get an answer
We won’t know how to feel

Waiting for re-birth for appointments for rain
Waiting for promotion dismissal the train
Waiting for waiting for godot for ghosts
Extolled to this wanting  - I’m dying and lost.
