I want to tap
you
Like a fairy
With my wand
Hope to release
an emotion
Maybe it's a
bubble
Welling up to
burst
Or an external
force
Like a ripple
Or a breeze
Let it flow over
you temporarily
Until you
release it
Like a sneeze
All emotions are
valid
Confusion is one
Anger for
example
Excitement and
surprise
They're all as
good as the next
But vary in
degrees of intensity
According to
several factors
Which one is
your fearvourite?
Is it sadness
like with me?
Let's chase
sunsets like the lamplighter in the little prince
Who follows a
terrible profession
I want to touch
you
Throw a pebble
into your being
Cause a splash
to wake you up
Like I used to
do
When I was a
gravedigger
Ashes to ashes
The vicar would
say
And dressed as
the sexton
With pebbles in
hand
I'd suddenly
appear and slam them down on the lid of the coffin
Dust to dust the
rev went on
And I'd softly
swoosh a swish of sand on the wooden box below
Then stand there
with a spade
Full of muck
For the
relatives to chuck
Into the grave
of the deceased
May he rest in
peace
And those of us
who felt
A cold rush of
fear
Would fill in
the hole
Then go to the
white bear
For a game of
pool
And a warm glass
of beer.
