When I'm gone

The sands are cast like marigolds
There have been
Amazing miracles
Little things
The sea of corks
Drafts of memory
Stretching like coral
Into the turquoise yonder
Thin and bloody
As a vein
When you stretch it
Blue as long
I don't want leave to remain
I just want someone to love you
When I'm gone

We chose holy wells
Of tramping puddles
We span moonlight
On our lace
We chose life and love and laughter
We made howling
Grave mistakes
Ai caramba
All those riven, soppy
Torments
Sorry me I'm stoopid children
But your simple
Admonition
Emptied the ashtray of my
Relapse and sang me hopewards
Full of shame and
Full of grace
Full of umpteen loves descending
Cracked as autumn
Independent of description
Coming to the mist of mellow fruition
Which the hydra preys upon
I don't want to impress on you
How sins are grave and the shadow long
I just want someone to love you
As much as I do
When I'm dead and gone.
