Entranced.
Soft
The foliage
Ferns
Cool the threshold.
Beguiled.
Shadows unfold
The air
Beneath my feet
Stills
The moment
Between heartbeats
Dissolve
Soot black the coldness
Pricks out the light
Time flicks a death star
Regressed
Demure
Black as the sunk
Engorged by the tread
Of dancing feet
And the ghost train a-coming
Swallows my breath
Foreshadowing the little death
Like sex in the wardrobe
With a drunken lover
The truants reward
A bath of milk
And a poisoned clasp.
