tiger bear woman

Scene…

A balcony: Coming up one set of stairs – a tiger.

Coming up the other set of stairs – a bear.

The tiger gives a note to a waitress.

The note says: heads I kill you – tails you die.

The laughing bear sends in a woman – femme fatale type.

She approaches the man.

They make signs.

He's praying and sweating...

They kiss the kiss of peace.

Woman: (Indicating the tiger whispering – grimacing - signing)

He says… that party? You called him a dirty grebo pig-fucker.

Man: (Blankly - struggling) I don’t remember.

Woman: (Out loud) Why did you join the legion?

It’s as if this is a sign for the tiger and the bear to advance up the curling staircase.

Man: (Out loud) To forget…

He tosses a coin.

The bear and the tiger converge on the man and woman -

they hold hands and close their eyes.

The bear and tiger pounce and find themselves in each other’s arms

– the man and woman have disappeared –

the bear and the tiger dance a dance of death.

They are mortal enemies.

A coin spins on the table…
