It's
too late for me
It was too late as I landed
Of that water was I gathered
Which hatched with maggots
When you waded in it
It was too late as I floundered
It was too late when I saw
The terrible role
The infernal leap
It was all too late when I found out
When the misunderstanding
Came to pass
By then we were all too grown up
And nothing was left of our grass
Darling I'm in agony
This bad living's squeaked my pip
Falling like a memory
Repudiated at the rate of hip
If I could swim up your stream
And jump your eerie wetness
Like a trout
Without a replica
Bliss would overtake me
And turn my scales to bone.
